Dear Scholarship Applicant:

 

Thank you for applying for the Rotary Club Scholarship.

 

The Rotary International is a worldwide organization of more than 1.2 million businesses,

professional and community leaders.  Members provide humanitarian service, encourage high

ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace throughout the world.

 

This year will be offering scholarships to 5 high school students.  Our selection criteria area as follows:

1.      High school juniors/seniors of Korean ethnic background

2.      Outstanding community service record

3.      Academic performance

4.      Financial need

 

Applications must be submitted by Oct. 27, 2011. We will notify scholarship recipients by early to mid-November.

CALL FOR SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

                                                      Rotary Club of Chicagoland Korean - Northbrook

The Korean Rotary Club of Chicago invites high school juniors /seniors of Korean ethnic background who reside in the Chicago metropolitan area to apply for a scholarship.

 

The scholarship application package must include the following materials:

. Rotary Club Scholarship application form

. List of your community service and volunteer experience including dates, organization name and

   location

. Essay in English (- 400 words) – Describe your community service experience and the impact it has had

  on your personal development   

. High school transcript

. SAT and/or ACT scores (copies are acceptable, but applicant must produce the original if asked

at a later date)

 

The complete application package must be submitted by Oct. 27, 2011 to Dr. John Kim / Unidex Group, Inc., 1601 Glenlake Ave, Itasca, IL 60143.  Alternatively, the application package may be emailed to  Johnkim@unidexgroup.com with appropriate forms included as attachment (pdf and word files)

 

Applications will be evaluated by the Rotary Club Scholarship Committee. You will be notified of your status in early November.

The scholarships will be awarded at the annual meeting of the Rotary Club in December.
