One of our club rotarian, Young Hee kang is the out-goig president of Korean Culture Center, who has served past three yaears. She has also servd for various civic orgarnizations such as president of Ewha Univesity, president of Chicago Korean Womens Association, etc. She has been instrumental for making possible for Korean Cultural Center to open to the public and practically functional in reality. Since she took over the post, she worked relentlessly to accomplish the task for acqisition of Koran Cultural Center Building in Wheeling, Illinois.

Her main accomplishment is to raise fund to secure acquisition of the building, which has five structural units and comprises an exhibition room, museum, library, ballet, and dance practice room,  meeting room, and offices, etc. This Cultural Center will serve in multifunction and multi-purpose to promote Korean Culture and will be a great asset for Koren community and Wheeling munincipality as well.

 On June 11, 2011, the long waited and greatly anticipated opening ceremony of Korean Cultural Ceter in Wheeling took place. Dignitaries, Korean Ambassador to USA, Han, Sung Soo, former Korean Minister of Law, Mr. Song, Jung Ho came over to attend and congratulate. Past president, Plaque of Gratitude was presented to the past prsident Chang, Kee Nam.
